As one of the oldest commercially planted vineyards in the Walla Walla Valley AVA, Windrow Vineyard has produced incredible fruit for many of the Who's Who in the valley including Leonetti, Walla Walla Vintners, L'Ecole, Bunchgrass, and others. A mature vineyard (planted in 1981), Windrow is full of history, on rolling ground with unobstructed views of the Blue Mountains. It is also Jodi's favorite vineyard so naturally Josh chose grapes from this site.
This beautiful vineyard was planted in 1998 and is located on the East side of the Walla Walla AVA. The views are unsurpassed and so are the grapes, making it some of the most sought after fruit in the valley. Josh drove past this gorgeous vineyard on his way home every day and has wanted to make wine from their grapes since moving to the valley.
A relatively young vineyard, E'ritage has amazing potential and is already producing incredible fruit especially Syrah and Chardonnay. Managed by a fellow Walla Walla Community College alumni, these fertile hills are packed full of the terrior that has earned the Walla Walla Valley a place among the leading wine regions of the world.
Breezy Slope Vineyard is prime wine grape land. While only 5 acres, this vineyard is located at the highest elevation in the entire Walla Walla AVA, at 1,780 feet! No irrigation is required, and they don't spray the vines with chemicals so that the grapes grow and speak for themselves. This vineyard is one of the only (and best) Pinot games in town so naturally Josh would go to them for his favorite varietal!
Named Les Collines after the French meaning 'the foothills' this vineyard lies at the base of the Blue Mountains. The soil consists of mostly Walla Walla Silt Loam, with some Athena Silt Loam resting on top of ancient gravel. Originating from deep windblown silt loess deposited by ancient glaciers, it is nutrient rich with excellent drainage.
Cockburn Ranch Vineyard is located in the Southeast corner of the valley in the foothills of the Blue Mountains. 180 plantable acres in well drained, deep, silty-loam with an elevation of 1100 - 1300 ft. Varieties planted here are Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and many others making it very appealing to winemakers from all over.
